Please contact us before moving the kitten. Many kittens are not abandoned and their mother may be nearby. We can advise you on the best course of action.

Take the cat to the vet. We can loan you a carrier. There are two in town:

– Dahab Vet Clinic, Assalah Square, next to the pharmacy
– The Ark Animal Clinic, Blue Hole Plaza

Yes please! Visitors are welcome. Please contact us first, via email, WhatsApp, or our socials so we can arrange a suitable time.

Yes. We regularly arrange international adoptions and can guide you throughout the process.

Yes. When age and health allow, our cats receive appropriate vaccinations upon arrival at the shelter.

Yes. All cats are neutered or spayed as part of our ethos and social care practices unless they are too young or have a medical reason to wait.

No. Experience is helpful but not essential. We welcome all animal lovers and those willing to work hard.

If you’re looking to volunteer with accommodation, our minimum is two weeks, although longer stays are preferred. If you’re staying around Dahab independently, you’re welcome to come by, play and socialise all you want! Just reach out first.

Tasks include feeding cats, cleaning litter trays, socialising cats and kittens, helping with basic medical care, taking photos and videos and general shelter duties.

A flight parent travels with one of our adopted cats to take them to their new home. We organise everything -the paperwork, airport arrangements, etc. – so it costs you nothing, but can change a cat’s life.
