Caring for cats through adoptions

Adopting a cat is a life-changing experience, both for the cat and the adopter. At our shelter, we focus on finding loving forever homes for each cat, believing every cat deserves a second chance.

Our adoption process ensures the right match by considering the cat’s personality, age, health, and temperament. Before adoption, each cat receives full medical care, including vaccinations and neutering. We provide guidance on care, nutrition, and behavior to help adopters with a smooth transition.

We're always here for support and aim to create lasting, happy bonds between cats and their new families.

Momo’s story began when a kind-hearted woman was enjoying her holiday in Dahab. While exploring the vibrant streets, she stumbled upon little Momo wandering alone. Instantly smitten, she couldn’t bear the thought of leaving her behind. Determined to help, she brought Momo to our shelter, where she quickly became a playful and energetic guest, winning the hearts of everyone around her.

Initially, the plan was for Momo to join her new family in October or November. However, fate had other plans when our volunteer had to change her flight from Eindhoven to Brussels due to a price increase. This unexpected turn of events opened up an amazing opportunity for Momo to find her forever home even sooner!

Now, Momo is living her best life in Brussels with her new family, She has a new brother to play with, and together they embark on new adventures every day. Momo’s journey from the streets of Dahab to a loving home is a testament to the power of compassion and the joy of second chances. We are so grateful for the wonderful people who make these happy endings possible.

Gogo’s story began when a compassionate couple in Dahab found him in desperate need of help. This young cat was in poor condition, with a broken leg and a crushed foot.

Gogo came to our shelter and started his healing journey. Thanks to constant care, daily wound cleaning, and generous support from his finders, Gogo made an incredible recovery. His resilience and strong spirit helped him through every challenge, and soon enough, this brave little cat was back on his feet—both physically and emotionally.

Gogo is now an adorable, chunky Arabian Mau with distinctive markings and a big personality. When he’s awake, he’s full of curiosity and adventure, always exploring his surroundings with his playful nature. But when it’s time to rest, Gogo transforms into a cuddly purring machine, eager for snuggles and love.

Gogo’s journey from injury to health has been an inspiring one, and now he’s living his best life, using his paw completely again, and with a new family who adores him. His story is a beautiful reminder of the power of love, care, and second chances.

Pookie’s story is one of survival and hope. She was the only kitten to survive her litter after her mother contracted the Calici virus and rejected her. When Pookie arrived, she was suffering from worms and a serious eye infection, requiring eye drops four times a day for two weeks. Thanks to the care and dedication of our team, Pookie began to recover. To give her more attention, she was placed in a loving foster home. Although her eye was permanently damaged and turned inward, Pookie never let that stop her from enjoying life.

As time passed, Pookie and her foster mom developed a strong bond. So strong, in fact, that her foster mom decided to adopt her, creating a heartwarming case of "foster fail" in the best way. Pookie finally found her forever home. After some preparation, she traveled to Holland with her new owner, ready to start a happy new chapter of her life.

Celeste came to our shelter as a tiny, sick kitten along with her brother Hugo. From the start, she was always a bit reserved and preferred to keep to herself. But thanks to the love and patience of our dedicated volunteers, she slowly began to open up and show her sweet personality. This transformation is clear to see now in her new home.

In October 2023, Celeste found her forever home with the wonderful Katy and Andrew, who adopted her into their small farm in Romania, where she now lives with 9 other cats. At first, Celeste showed her feisty side, being a bit of a diva with her new feline family. But over time, she settled in, found her place, and even grew a little chubby— a sign of just how happy and comfortable she is!

Celeste's story shows how love and patience can truly change a cat's life. She’s now thriving in her forever home, enjoying a peaceful life and the companionship of her new family.

Lottie's story is one of strength and resilience. She came to us with a severe infection in her left front leg, which unfortunately couldn’t be saved and had to be amputated. Our reports showed that she had already been spayed, but this turned out to be a mistake, and she became pregnant with four kittens. Despite having only three legs, she cared for her kittens wonderfully.

Lottie has always been a home cat, so the shelter environment with so many other cats was difficult for her. She struggles with balance because of her missing leg, making it hard to move around in crowded spaces.

On November 22, Lottie flew to Germany with her flight parent, Steffi. Now, she lives with Tess and her partner, and she has the whole house to herself. She loves her peaceful, quiet life, surrounded by love and comfort. Lottie had many caregivers who cared deeply for her, and we are all so happy to see her thriving in her new home.

Laikha's story is one of love and patience. She was born on the street with her brothers, Charles and James. Their mother, Abby, brought them inside through the window of a villa. Zahida, the owner of this villa, took care of them during the first few weeks. Abby had Calici virus, so she took the whole family into the shelter. We treated Abby, and she recovered, while all the kittens, including Laikha, were also treated.

Afterward, Charles and James were adopted by Zahida, who planned to adopt Laikha once she was spayed. However, Laikha became sick again in the shelter, which delayed the adoption.

Finally, just last week, Laikha was officially adopted. She now lives again in this beautiful villa in Dahab, were she was first brought in as a baby, with 13 other friends and her brothers. She’s found her forever home, and we’re so happy for her!

Zuzu came to us as a tiny kitten after his previous owner could no longer care for him. He quickly settled in at our shelter and showed his sweet and playful nature.

A few months later, we got a wonderful message from Amanda, a cat lover planning to visit Dahab in 2025 to see her boyfriend. Amanda fell in love with Zuzu and his friend Oliver and spent a lot of time with them both. In the end, she chose to adopt Zuzu and give him a forever home.

On January 8th, Zuzu flew with Amanda to the United States to start his new life. Amanda also helped prepare Oliver for adoption and covered all the costs, which was a huge help to us.

We’re so thankful to Amanda and know that Zuzu will have a fantastic life with her.
