Caring for cats through awareness
Adopting a cat is a rewarding experience that changes lives, both for the cat and the adopter. At our shelter, we are committed to finding loving forever homes for each of our cats. We believe that every cat deserves a second chance and a place to call home.
Our adoption process is designed to ensure that each cat is matched with the right family. We carefully assess the personality and needs of each cat, considering factors such as their age, health, and temperament. This helps us recommend the best fit for potential adopters, whether they are looking for a playful kitten or a calm adult cat.
Before adoption, each cat receives thorough medical care, including vaccinations, neutering, and treatment for any health issues. We provide adopters with information on how to care for their new pet, including tips on nutrition, grooming, and behavior. Our goal is to prepare adopters for a smooth transition and help them understand their new feline companion.
We also encourage ongoing communication with our shelter. Adopters can reach out with any questions or concerns, and we’re always here to support them. By focusing on responsible adoptions, we aim to create lasting bonds between cats and their new families, ensuring a brighter future for both.
These kittens were ‘dumped’ outside a garden and attracted much of attention. We’ve put them safely in a box & informed the people around to leave them here for the mom.
Many locals approach us for help when they find animals in need, and we do our best to offer advice and guide them to the village's veterinarians. Often, people ask us to take in animals they cannot care for, but due to limited space, we are currently unable to accept any more cats. Despite this, we stay in contact, providing tips and guidance to give these animals the best chance for recovery.
We also frequently see children who aren’t sure how to properly handle animals. As a team, we explain in a calm and kind manner how to interact with them, and Anas plays a key role in this. His ability to communicate in their own language allows him to connect with them in a way that makes a lasting difference, fostering compassion and understanding for animals in the local community.
Talking with the community
Setting up markets & raffles
Every Sunday (as much as we can), we organize community markets filled with items generously donated by supporters. These markets are more than just a way to raise funds; they are an opportunity to connect with the local community and bring awareness to our cause. The funds we collect go directly toward covering essential medical expenses, such as treatments, neutering, and vaccination programs for the cats in our care.
By attending the market, visitors not only contribute to our shelter but also learn about the importance of animal welfare. Many locals stop by to chat, ask questions, and gain insight into how they can help care for the animals around them. These markets have become a crucial way to spread our message and build a more compassionate community for our beloved cats.
